That Darkness by Lisa Black reviewed by Jennie Hutchins

January 28, 2017

Another thriller by Lisa Black which grabs you from the very first sentence and keeps you interested to the end. The story is simple, nothing really new going on except that it’s based in Cleveland (?) and there isn’t the usual emphasis on who the killer is. We know right away who he is, but the story takes the reader through the killer’s reasoning. Even though he is a killer, he is a sympathetic person and while we should be horrified at what he’s doing somewhere deep down we cheer him on. The story is an easy read, not too fussy with the details and lets the reader get to the meat, make their own decision about the killer and sigh with relief at the ending. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of a twist to their murder stories.

Please pardon our appearance while we do some remodeling.
