How to download E-books to your tablet/e-reader?

An easy step by step guide. As always, if you have any questions or are having trouble downloading, visit or call the library and a librarian will assist you.

Step One:

•You will need to be connected to the internet for the initial download.

•Access the county library website.


Step Two:

•For books and audio book click on the Download eBooks + audiobooks icon

Step Three:

  • Click "sign in" and enter your library card number

Step Four:

  • Click "Add Title"

  • Search for book title or browse by author, genre, or keyword

Step Five:

  • If available click "Borrow Book" to download

  • If not available click "Place Hold" and once it becomes available it will immediately download to your device

  • To sample book before borrowing, click "Sample"

Step Six:

  • Download book by going to your bookshelf and clicking "Download" on the book icon

  • Then log into your amazon account to download the book under "Get Your Digital Library Loan"

  • Once logged in click on "Get Library Book" and it will immediately download to your device for reading.

Step Seven:

  • Enjoy your book!
