Delaware County Council READs
To promote the love of reading and literacy, Council members posed with favorite books for colorful READ posters that will be displayed in county libraries through Delaware County Libraries.
Council Chairman Mario J. Civera Jr. urges readers to take a trip back to World War II in “Killing Patton” by Bill O’Reilly. Council Vice Chairman Colleen Morrone chose the gripping novel “Keep Quiet” by Philadelphia author Lisa Scottoline.
Councilman John McBlain highlights “John Paul the Great: Remembering a Spiritual Father,” by Peggy Noonan while Executive Director Marianne Grace recommends “The Promise of Francis” by BBC correspondent David Willey about Pope Francis’s mission to reform the church.
Councilman Dave White recommends “Anthony Wayne,” Paul David Nelson’s biography of ‘Mad’ Anthony Wayne. Councilman Mike Culp chose Richard Reeves’ book, “President Reagan: The Triumph of Imagination,”
The READ posters are being distributed to all 26 DCL member libraries and any other organizations that would like to display them. People can contact DCLS Director David Belanger to obtain one or all of the READ posters. Call 610-891-8622 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
